Music in the Park wins Lancashire Tourism Award
Music in the Park wins a Lancashire Tourism Award in the small event category.
The Lancashire Tourism Awards is the biggest and only county-wide celebration of tourism excellence in Lancashire. At the annual Awards Ceremony held on Tuesday 26 February, 2024, at King Georges Hall, Blackburn, Music in the Park won Lancashire’s best small event of the year award. The win win was over an 11-strong category which included some very well-established events.
Leader of South Ribble Borough Council, Councillor Paul Foster, said: “We are delighted to have won a Lancashire Tourism Award for Music In The Park in the small event category.
“The win is a huge achievement for the borough of South Ribble and shows just what we can achieve.
“Music In The Park is a relatively new event, initially taking place in 2022, being the first of its kind in the borough.
“The success of the event has gone from strength to strength and has brought new visitors from far and wide to see how amazing our borough is.
“I’d like to say a huge thank you to all of the officers that make Music In The Park, the great event that it is, to the people of South Ribble and beyond for supporting us to provide these fantastic opportunities to showcase South Ribble.”
